“We are aware that five students have recently stepped away from the Winona State University volleyball team. We are actively engaging with the students involved, other team members, and the coaching staff to better understand the situation. We are committed to an environment that supports the emotional, physical, and social well-being of student-athletes.”
One former athlete took to social media and cited unspecified physical and mental health concerns after recent changes in the program.
