(MNN)-Federal prosecutors have reached a plea agreement with Vance Boelter, who is now expected to plead guilty in last year’s deadly attacks targeting two Minnesota lawmakers and their families. Under the proposed deal, the Justice Department says it will not seek the death penalty. Investigators say he also shot Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, at their house in Champlin. Separate state charges remain pending against Boelter while the federal case moves ahead.
