Matthew Coller Joins Upon Further Review to Discuss Vikings Draft

By Jake Litman May 1, 2024 | 12:14 PM

(KWMN)-The Vikings ended the 2024 NFL draft with a total of seven picks, two of which came in the first round.

Those two picks were the only ones they had in the first three rounds, and they managed to fill some depth with the latter five picks in rounds four to seven.

The full haul for the Vikings was JJ McCarthy, QB out of Michigan, Dallas Turner, Edge out of Alabama, Khyree Jackson, CB out of Oregon, Walter Rouse, OT out of Oklahoma, Will Reichard, K out of Alabama, Michael Jurgens, C out of Wake Forest, and Levi Drake-Rodriguez, DT out of Texas A&M Commerce.

The one issue from this year’s draft, actual players aside, the Vikings will only have three total picks in next year’s draft. At the very least, Vikes general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah kept his 2025 first rounder.

Matthew Coller of Purpleinsider.com joined Upon Further Review to discuss the draft, the players, and how worrisome the lack of next year’s picks are.
