(KWMN)- The #1 Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates (8-0) close out the season at home against the Whitehall Norse (6-3).
The Pirates continue to roll forward, shutting out their last two opponents back-to-back. Parker Kujak moved to 702 total yards passing after 73 yards, 1 touchdown performance last game against Melrose Mindoro, a 48-0 nothing win for CFC. But the main draw of the Pirates offense has been the ground game, with Aidan Lisowski surging for 181 yards and three more rushing touchdowns. Lisowski now has 22 touchdowns on the season, which is 5th most in the state, and is THE most in rushing. With 1238 all-purpose yards, Lisowski rounds himself out with 4th most in Division 7 football in Wisconsin.
Whitehall is stringing together a good season as well, sitting at 6-3. They did not play Blair-Taylor last week (who was forced to forfeit due to injuries), instead they played against Neillsville/Granton in a non-conference matchup. QB Karston Ausderau threw for 65 yards and no passing touchdowns but did pick one up on the ground with 32 yards of rushing. Bo Killian also surged for 103 yards and two touchdowns, while Mason Pryzbulla caught three passes for 41 yards. The Norse have won 3 of their last 5 and look to stimmy what would be the second consecutive undefeated season for the Pirates.
Kickoff is at 7pm with the pregame live at 6:45PM, which you can hear on KWMN 99.3 FM the Fan Winona, or by using the link below:
