(KWMN)- The 3-seed Cotter Ramblers will start their 2026 playoff run with a Tuesday night matinee with the 6-seed Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs.
The Ramblers finish the regular season 6-2, winning 3 of their last 4. Cotter is one week removed from a dominating 35-17 win over St. Charles, that they had trailed in going into the second half. But 5 rushing touchdowns and 200 yards from Rawson Sullivan propelled the Ramblers to their 6th win of the season, and the 3-seed in the 1AAA playoffs.
Cotter and PEM met once in the regular season, a 33-14 victory for the Ramblers, but one that they almost let slip away in the second half. After entering the second half up 26-0, the Ramblers found themselves with possession issues, fumbling the ball away twice in the 3rd. Plainview capitalized on the troubles, putting 14 points on the board in back-to-back drives, before Cotter silenced the Bulldogs with a Rawson Sullivan 67-yard pick 6 to put the game away.
