(MNN)-Minnesota will not offer duck hunters the option of a three-duck daily limit. The Department of Natural Resources says hunters will continue under the existing six-duck limit. Hunters had mixed opinions on the proposal. Some supported it to attract new hunters, while others worried about protecting other waterfowl and confusion over the rules. The DNR says the change was not expected to harm duck populations but decided against it after reviewing public feedback. Other states will test the three-duck limit through 2031.
