(KWNO)-The Board of Directors at the historic Pickwick Mill Inc is celebrating news that the mill has been awarded $400,000 through the 2026 Minnesota Capital Investment Bill, signed into law early this month by Governor Tim Walz.
The funding will support critical preservation and improvement projects at the historic mill, including protecting the structure, enhancing visitor experiences, and strengthening the mill’s role as a destination for heritage tourism and community engagement. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the mill attracts visitors from across Minnesota and beyond who come to experience a rare and authentic connection to the state’s agricultural, industrial, and immigrant heritage.
