(KWNO)-A Winona man accused of murder in Wisconsin has pleaded not guilty and will likely go to trial. Jacob Klaver is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Josh Pigney in Holmen. According to Holmen Police, authorities on June 29 responded to reports of an unresponsive male at a Holmen residence. The room where Pigney’s body was found showed signs of a violent struggle including blood, furniture tipped over and broken and a bladeless fan split into two parts. An autopsy showed the cause of death was strangulation and blunt force trauma. Winona Police arrested Klaver a few days after the murder. He has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to be back in court in September.
