WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-An outbreak of severe weather brought heavy rain and large hail to southeast Minnesota and southwest Wisconsin.
The National Weather Service says storm spotters tracked baseball-sized hail from as far west as Le Sueur County to as far east as Wabasha and Winona counties. Reported hail sizes in Winona ranged from 1.5 to 2 inches in diameter.
Winona County saw the highest rain totals of the Minnesota counties impacted by the storm. Minnesota City received 2,78 inches of rain. 2.6 inches of rain were tallied in Winona.
The City of Trempealeau got 3.14 inches of rain to lead the county. 2.95 inches of rain, along with 60 mph winds were reported in Galesville.
