(KWMN)- The Cotter Ramblers try to make it a streak tonight against the Lake City Tigers in a battle along the banks of Lake Pepin.
The Ramblers enter this game on a hot streak, having outscored their opponents thus far 66-39. Their past matchup was the conference opener and home opener for the Ramblers, a 54-26 win for Cotter. The Ramblers have been getting amazing QB play from first time starter Macs Nisbit, who stepped into the role after the departure of Dane Guzzo. Nisbit threw for 125 yards and four passing TDs in last week’s game, he moves to six passing TDs on the year and 335 passing yards, currently commanding a 265.2 QBR. On the ground, Chase Heim, Cade Cummings, and Rawson Sullivan have been a verifiable 1-2-3 punch for the Ramblers, all combining for 448 yards and six TDs.
The Lake City Tigers have had a rockier start to the 2026 campaign, falling in their first two games. A heart breaking 20-27 loss, followed by a field goal difference in a 19-22 loss to La Crescent-Hokah Lancers has left the Tigers dropping in the conference, now 0-2. They have a chance tonight to make a statement over the second place Cotter Ramblers, who are themselves chasing the first-place Pine Island Panthers.
