(MNN)-Two Wabasha firefighters are among the people killed in a Lake Pepin boat crash. Six people were aboard a pontoon that overturned around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Three survivors were found clinging to the overturned boat, while search teams recovered the three bodies Sunday.
The Pepin County Sheriff’s Office says the deaths include two members of the Wabasha Fire Department, 46-year-old Nicholas Loechler and 52-year-old Manuel De Angel-Sola. The other victim is 37-year-old Wabasha resident Ashley Monson.
