Ramblers Score in Bunches, Advance in 1AA Playoffs

(KWMN)- The Cotter Ramblers roll over Bulldog for 8-1 win to advance in the Section 1AA playoffs.

Dan Guzzo got the start on the mound, throwing seven strikeouts and allowing just one run. He picked up the win, with Mac Nisbit finishing the final three innings.

The bulk of Cotter’s offense came in the bottom of the third, with six runs coming across the plate for the Ramblers. Will Peterson picked up the RBI with a double that score Rawson Sullivan, before scoring on a wild pitch. Donny Baures reached on a fielder’s choice that allowed Devin Korder to score, and then an error allowed two more runs to score for the Ramblers.

The Ramblers had nine hits in total, with Daniel Gaedy going 3-4 with an RBI and one run scored, while Will Peterson went 2-4 with 2 RBI.

The Ramblers will play the Pine Island Panthers this Monday, May 25th at 3:00PM. Pine Island defeated Caledonia 2-1 in the previous round of the playoffs.
