(MNN)-A Rochester man is sentenced to 34-and-a-half-years in prison for the second-degree intentional murder of Melissa Hunt of Kellogg. Craig Hameister pleaded guilty in March for the June 2025 shooting that occurred at a boat launch in Kellogg. According to court records, Hameister shot Hunt at close range and fled the scene. Despite her severe injuries, Hunt was able to identify her attacker before being transported to a hospital, where she later died.
