(MNN)-Authorities in southeastern Minnesota say a boat stolen from a Wabasha County campsite belongs to the family of a fallen Zumbrota police officer/firefighter. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday that the boat is the property of Gary Schroeder Jr’s family. His wife, Kim, said it was padlocked and had a canvass cover on it. She says there are a lot of memories for the kids and their dad in the boat. Schroeder died from a line of duty death in 2023 related to PTSD and suicide. Governor Walz signed a bill last week to rename a portion of Highway 58 as the Officer/Firefighter
