(KWMN)- The Winona Winhawks picked up their second win of the season with a 4-3 win over Rochester Century at Jerry Raddatz Field.

Winhawk starter, Logan Gappa went all 7 innings while giving 3 runs off 6 hits and struck out 4. He sent down the Panther’s hitters 1-2-3 in five of his seven innings. Century put up 3 in the 3rd behind four hits.

The Winhawk offense scored all of their runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. A sacrifice fly from Devin Shields drove in Brayden Wenzel to make it 3-1. Wiliam Shantzen scored off a Panthers fielding error to make the score 3-2. Gappa tied the game with an RBI single and Easton Nissalke’s sacrifice fly to drive in Colin Serwa gave the Winhawks the lead they would never let slip away.

The Winhawks will start a streak of six games on the road at Stewartville  beginning Saturday at 11 AM.
