Decorations at St. Mary’s Cemetery have to be removed by March 30

(KWNO)-The decoration removal date is quickly drawing near at St. Mary’s Cemetery of Winona. All decorations, even those in flower stands, on shepherd hooks and placed in vases attached to monuments, crypts or niches must be removed from the cemetery before Monday, March 30.

The cemetery must remain decoration free through Holy Thursday, April 2. The cemetery is unable to store decorations. Spring decorations may be placed in cemetery approved stands, shepherd hooks, vases and monument saddles on or after Good Friday, April 3. New or replacement stands must be purchased in the cemetery office and installed by cemetery staff; any non-cemetery issued stands found will be removed and disposed of. Stands found to be unstable, damaged or in deteriorated condition will be removed and disposed of at the discretion of cemetery staff.
