(KWNO)-One person is dead, and another severely injured after a house fire in Hokah on Wednesday. According to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews were called to the home around 4:30 a.m. and found it fully engulfed in flames. A woman was outside the home with “extreme burns” and was taken to the emergency room for treatment. The La Crescent and Hokah Fire Departments put out the fire and later found a person dead inside the home. The State Fire Marshall is assisting local departments with the investigation.
