(KWNO)-A 71-year-old man is dead after a logging accident in Buffalo County. According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office the man was working on County Road VV in Canton on Wednesday morning. Bystanders said he was hit by a tree and suffered severe head injuries. Life-saving efforts were unsuccessful, and the man was later pronounced dead by first-responders. His name is not being released. Canton is about an hour northeast of Winona.
