Twisted Sister is Back – Celebrating 50 Years of Roaring Rock

By Cassie Bauer Sep 11, 2025 | 10:37 AM

If you thought Twisted Sister had laid down their guitars for good, think again. The band has officially announced a 50th Anniversary World Tour for 2026, marking half a century of rebellious riffs, unforgettable anthems, and a legacy that still stomps loud.

Frontman Dee Snider put it plainly:

“If you’re lucky enough to be in a band that people still want to see after fifty years(!), how can you not answer the call? In 2026, Twisted F*cking Sister will hit stages around the world because WE STILL WANNA ROCK!!”

Guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda will be there, standing shoulder to shoulder as they have since the early days back in 1976, when they first called themselves Twisted Sister at The Turtleneck Inn in Hunter Mountain, New York.

There are a few changes in the lineup. Longtime bassist Mark “The Animal” Mendoza will not be participating in the reunion. Stepping in will be Russell Pzütto, who fans will recognize from Dee Snider’s solo work. On drums, the band is welcoming back Joe “Seven” Franco, returning for the first time since the Love Is for Suckers era (1987).

At the moment, no tour dates or venues have been announced. But with Twisted Sister’s track record, we can safely expect big stages, classic sing-along moments, and perhaps some surprises.
