(KWNO)-The Winona County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a woman in connection with a shooting in Elba. Sixty-four-year-old Ava Kock was taken in custody on Wednesday. She allegedly fired a gun at a woman getting out of her car near an apartment building on South Main Street in Elba on Tuesday night. The shots hit the body of the car and shattered its windshield; the victim suffered cuts to her face, possibly from shrapnel or broken glass. A search warrant conducted at Kock’s residence recovered the firearm and shell casings believed to be involved in the shooting. Kock and the victim are known to each other, however there are no known previous altercations or negative interactions between them, according to a statement from WCSO.
