(KWMN)- After a 37-3 regular season, a second-straight regular season MIAC title, and a second-straight MIAC Tournament title, the St. Mary’s Cardinal Softball team turns their attention to the NCAA tournament as the #1 and host seed in their regional bracket.
Three other teams will visit Winona for the NCAA Regional with a chance to punch their ticket to the Super Regional later on. Depauw University, Husson University, and Simpson College each earned a berth into the St. Mary’s Regional.
The Cardinals will be looking for their first NCAA Tournament title since 2000, when current head coach, John Tschida, was also at the helm of the program.
Tschida joined the WSN on Upon Further Review to discuss the tournament ahead.
