(KWNO)-A Goodview woman fled from police and was arrested for DWI. Around 1:30 am on Saturday a car driven by 46-year-old Laurie Boehmke crossed the centerline and nearly hit a Winona Police Department squad car near the intersection of 5th Street and Pelzer Street. The officer activated his lights and attempted to pull over Boehmke but she didn’t stop. The officer followed Boehmke to Goodview where she hit a street sign while pulling into a parking lot. According to a WPD spokesperson, Boehmke eventually got out of her vehicle and started yelling at the officer. She appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested on suspicion of DWI and fleeing an officer.
