(KWNO)-Icy roads may have caused a head on crash Tuesday morning near Saratoga Township. According to a Winona County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, a 27-year-old woman from the Saint Charles area hit an ice patch and slid into the oncoming lane on County Highway 43 near the intersection of Cocker Drive, colliding with a vehicle going the opposite direction. That car was driven by 47-year-old woman from Preston. She had to be extricated from the vehicle by first responders but was not seriously injured, according to the spokesperson. The other driver was not hurt.
