(KWMN)- The Winona State Men once again saw themselves drop both contests to Minnesota State-Moorhead and St. Cloud State over the weekend, as they concluded the regular season, and turn their attention to the conference tournament.
Luckily for the Warriors, they had already clinched, at the very least, a first-round home game in the NSIC tournament. The unfortunate part about the weekend was they had a chance at the regular season title, and a first-round bye.
Regardless, all that matters is making the tournament, and what you do from there.
The Warriors got the #7 seed, they’ll face the #10 Wayne State later tonight from McCown gymnasium. They already lost once to Wayne State this season, back on Dec. 7th in overtime. A win, and they advance on to the quarterfinals from the Pentagon, in Sioux Falls, SD. A loss, and their season ends.
Head Coach for the Warriors, Todd Eisner, joined the WSN to discuss the regular season, and how the Warriors can make a tournament run.
