A Rochester restaurant has shut down one of its two locations after an ICE raid on Wednesday arrested two brothers in the parking lot. Nupa Mediterranean Grill posted to Facebook saying the employees “may have been working under false documentation,” and ICE arrested them “without asking for documentation.” Residents protested in downtown Rochester on Thursday. Nupa says the men accounted for a lot of their hours, and that location will remain closed until they can find someone to replace them.
