(KWMN)- In a one game road trip, the Warrior men came into Aberdeen, SD and left with a win over Northern State, 74-69.

Luke Haertle had one of his best games of the season, carrying the offense on is back with 35 of the 74 points scored. It was the Univeristy of Wisconsin Transfer’s highest point total of the season.

This win comes on the heels of a weekend sweep at home to St. Cloud and Moorhead, where the Warriors dropped both on their home floor for the first time this season.

The bounce back puts them at 14-6, tied for the 5th spot in the NSIC.

It will be a crucial two games ahead this week for the Warrior men. They’ll face the University of Minnesota-Duluth on Wednesday night, a team they beat on the road once this season in overtime after trailing by 20 points in the second half. They also sit a mere half game up on the Bulldogs. On Saturday, the hits keep coming, as they’ll visit Minnesota State-Mankato. Another team they’ve beaten before, but now the Mavericks sit a half game ahead of the Warriors in the conference standings.

Head Coach for the Warriors, Todd Eisner, joined the WSN to discuss the win on Saturday, the big week ahead, and how the team can maintain its success despite injury issues.
