(KWMN)- In the midst of a great season, the Warrior men suffered their first real weekend setback as they drop both games from McCown, losing to St. Cloud, 93-87 in OT, and 92-80 to Minnesota State Moorhead.
The warrior men let Friday night slip from their grasp, as they controlled the game with a 10-point lead with a minute to play. St. Cloud managed to stay in the game late, with big shots, turnovers, and the Warriors missing free throws.
Entering the weekend the Warriors led the NSIC in free throw percentage. They missed a combined 20 in two games and lost those games by a combined 18 points.
Still, the Warriors find themselves near the top of the NSIC, looking for a bounce back week. First up is Northern this Saturday, with Duluth at McCown next Wednesday night.
Head coach for the Warrior men, Todd Eisner, joined the WSN to discuss the weekend, and what’s next.
