(KWNO)-Students at Washington-Kosciusko Elementary recently came together to support children entering foster care by making fleece tie blankets. The project fit into the W-K theme for the month: generosity.

The students also assembled duffle bags filled with essential items to donate to Winona County. A statement from WAPS says the students learned “that generosity isn’t just about giving things, but about offering time and care to those who need it most.” Social workers from Winona County came to receive the bags and talked with the students about how a small duffle bag filled with personal care items and a warm blanket can make a difference to a child entering foster care.
