(KWNO)-Winona Area Public Schools will be closing two hours early today due to heavy snow. Elementary and early childhood students will be released at 12:15 p.m. and middle and high school students at 1:30 p.m. Alternate bus stops for inclement weather will be used. The afternoon preschool class at W-K has been canceled. There is also no Key Kids after school care or snow care. Key Kids students will be dismissed according to their early release transportation plan. Most district events, such as athletic practices, games and after school activities, Community Education classes and Miller Mentoring are also canceled for the day, according to a release by WAPS.
