(KWMN)- The Warrior men were able to salvage a home split over the weekend as they toppled the University of Sioux Falls on Friday and were bested by Southwest Minnesota State University on Saturday.
Although not a 2-0 weekend, earning the 1-1 split brought the Warriors to an 8-3 record. It’s their best start to the season since 2013-14, a year that they competed in the NCAA tournament.
The Warriors will have the University of Minnesota-Duluth come Wednesday on the road, then come home on Saturday to face Minnesota State-Mankato. Two teams that sandwich the Warriors in the NSIC standings.
Head Coach for the Warriors, Todd Eisner, joined the Winona Sports Network to discuss the start, and where they can improve.
