(KWMN)-The Winona State Men’s basketball team closed out their first full NSIC weekend trip with a 1-1 record, beating Augustana and losing to Wayne State.
They move to 7-2 on the season after the split. A prolific start to a team that lost three starters to the D-1 level.
They’ll have a big weekend ahead as the University of Sioux Falls, and NSIC front runners Southwest Minnesota State come to McCown. The men will tip off at 7:30 on Friday night, and 5:30 on Saturday.
Head Coach for the Warrior Men, Todd Eisner, joined the Winona Sports Network to discuss the hot start, how difficult it’s been revamping the roster, and how deep they can go this season.
