Dennis “Cub” Lund, 77, of Rochester, Minn. passed away peacefully on Dec. 1, 2024.
He was born on Sept. 7, 1947 to Harry & Susie (Jacobson) Lunde in Viroqua Wisconsin. Cub graduated from John Marshall High School and then went on to trade school at Albert Lea Technical College.
Cub had an infectious laugh. He enjoyed having cocktails with his friends, rebuilding carpet, and of course, with all shag carpet. Tinkering in the garage sharpening or cleaning anything that he could grind on his grinding wheel. Building fast boats and racing them. He loved his work laying rug and teaching the newbies his old ways.
He is survived by his wife Julie (Jewels) Lunde, a brother Charles (Linda) Lunde of Rochester, a sister Linda Wagner of Arizona, two nephews – Jake (Jana) Lunde, Josh Wagner, and 1 niece – Ashleigh Wagner. He is preceded in death by his parents. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Guiding Light (North Star) on Dec. 21, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join in on commemorating his life.
