Judy A. Slaby, 69, of Arcadia, passed away in her sleep November 23rd, 2024. Judy was born to William “Butch” and Amelia (Suchla) Wojchik on December 31st, 1954, in Arcadia, WI. She attended grade school at St. Boniface in Waumandee and graduated high school from Cochrane-Fountain City High School with the class of 1973. She married the love of her life James Slaby on August 24th, 1974 at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
She found great joy in raising her children on the family farm, cherishing the simple yet profound moments of life, whether tending to daily chores or enjoying the beauty of nature, she always made time for her children, teaching them the values of hard work, love, and togetherness.
Judy is survived by her husband: James; sons: Jim (Christine), Jeff (Summer), Jeremy; daughters: Jackie (Rick) Kujak and Jamie (Hans) Gilbertson; grandchildren: Brooke, Walker, Parker, Bailey, Abigail, Emma, Charlotte and Maddox; siblings: Gerald (Peggy), Roger, Ken (Pat), Bill (Renata), Susan Lettner, Jane (Dennis) Shepherd; brother-in-law: Pete Smith; sisters-in-law: Mary Wojchik, Bernice Sonsalla and Virgie Suchla.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Ronald; sister: Lois Smith; brothers-in-law: George Lettner, John Sonsalla, Bob Suchla and Ray Filla; sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Filla, and Rita Overhulser; nephew: Joseph Wojchik; and niece: Michelle Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Holy Family Parish with Father Kyle Laylan officiating. A celebration of Judy’s life will immediately follow at the Arcadia Country Club. Burial will be held at a later date.
