(KWMN)-The Winona State football team closed out their season on Saturday with a loss to Minot State, 56-23.
The Beavers of Minot ran all over the warriors, eclipsing 400 yards on the ground thanks to their triple option attack. Cole Stenstrom, playing in his last game for the Warriors, threw for 213 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
The Warrior rushing attack was held in check, as the team could only muster up 133 yards.
Winona State finishes the season at 5-6, the second straight year they finish with that record.
Head Coach, Brian Bergstrom, joined the Winona Sports Network on Upon Further Review to discuss the end of the season, and what’s next for Warrior Football.
