(KWNO)-Aaron Repinski will likely be the next state representative for Minnesota House District 26A. With 37 of 38 precincts reporting, unofficial results had Repinski (R) leading Sarah Kruger (DFL) by 1,589 votes.
The race was very close in the City of Winona; in one precinct Repinski won by just two votes. But Repinski’s totals in the smaller communities in Winona County probably made the difference. He won Lewiston, Stockton and both precincts in Goodview as well as most of the townships in the district.
Repinski serves on the Winona City Council and is a local business owner. If the race is certified, Repinski will replace Gene Pelowski who represented District 26A and its past iterations for 38 years.
