Alternate-side-parking starts Nov. 15

By Jason Melillo Nov 4, 2024 | 6:42 AM

(KWNO)-Alternate-side-parking in the City of Winona goes into effect November 15. Between 12:01 am and 6:30 am vehicles must be parked on the odd side of the street on odd days and the even side on even days. Odd and even sides are determined by house numbers.

Two downtown parking lots are also affected by the alternate-side-parking ordinance. There is no parking in Lot #1 (off 2nd Street between Center and Lafayette) on odd numbered days and Lot #3 (by the bus shelter off Center Street between 3rd and 4th Streets) will be closed on even numbered days. Violations will result in a $25 citation and no warnings will be given.  During a tag-and-tow operation, vehicles will be towed to Borkowski Towing in Goodview.

Winona Police will begin ticketing cars on November 15 at 12:01 am. Contact the City of Winona or the Winona Police Department for more information.
