MiEnergy lineworkers helping restore power for hurricane victims

Lineworkers from Minnesota, including from MiEnergy in Rushford, are in the southeastern U-S helping to restore power and repair damage from Hurricane Helene. Right now, 18 electric cooperatives have sent 80 lineworkers to South Carolina, according to Joe Miller of the Minnesota Rural Electric Association. The Minnesota crews are working in a mountainous region in northwest South Carolina that has widespread power outages. One of the local co-ops reported 98% of its system was down.
