(KWMN)-The Golden Gopher football team dropped to 2-3 last Saturday with a loss to Michigan, 27-24.
The Gophers made a comeback effort in the fourth quarter that brought them within three points, leading to the climax of the game. An onside kick was recovered by Minnesota, but the referees called the kicking unit offsides, and negated the recovery, ending the game.
Voice of the Gophers, Mike Grimm, shares his thoughts on the moment that derailed the comeback for the Gophers, and his theory as to why the call went the way it did.
Gophers will kick off from Huntington Bank Stadium Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. with our coverage beginning at 3:30 with the Gopher Coaches Show only on the Winona Sports Network, FM 99.3.
