(KWNO)-A Winona man is under arrest for allegedly having an ongoing sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl. Winona Police on Thursday arrested Edward Lee McFarland. According to a police spokesperson, McFarland engaged in sexual conduct with the girl for several weeks leading up to his arrest. WPD was informed of the relationship by the girl’s mother. An AR– 15 rifle was also found during a search of McFarland’s residence. McFarland is prohibited from having a firearm, the spokesperson said likely because of his previous criminal record.
