According to a police spokesperson, 50-year-old Christopher Sage on Thursday loaded a cart with electronics, a fire pit, a comforter and other items. He then walked by the pay terminals but was stopped by store employees before exiting the store. Sage left the cart, ran out of the store and fled in a vehicle. Through surveillance video and employee statements, officers identified the vehicle and later found Sage at a residence. He said he wasn’t trying to steal anything but did admit to not having enough money to pay for everything in the cart. Sage was arrested for theft.
