After the family behind the Rapidan Dam Store posted a hopeful message earlier this week on social media about reopening the store in some fashion, it appears the Hruska family took a buyout from Blue Earth County, as the building was torn down Friday keeping it from falling into the ever-encroaching Blue Earth River. The Rapidan Dam Store has existed in some form since the opening of the Dam in 1910. The store was mostly in the Hruska family, offering hamburgers, shakes, and, of course, its famous pies.
