(KWNO)-A search warrant served in an ongoing sexual assault case led to the arrest of two people on Friday afternoon for drug possession. Winona County Sheriff’s deputies served the warrant in the 31,000 block of Pier Ridge Road near La Crescent looking for a cell phone. In the midst of the search, deputies found small amounts of cocaine and arrested 38-year-old Kevin Humfeld and 24-year-old Hannah Cullen. The search warrant stems from a sexual assault charge filed against Humfeld in February 2023. A Winona County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said Humfeld was also “not cooperative” with deputies.
