(KWNO)-Local advocacy groups are celebrating Madeline Kingsbury’s birthday and aiming to bring attention to domestic violence. The Winona Shine Bright for Maddi and Break the Silence of Domestic Violence event is Saturday night at 7:30 in Levee Park and open to all. The Advocacy Center of Winona and several partners are organizing the event. More information is available on the event Facebook page. Kingsbury was murdered last year. Her ex-boyfriend Adam Fravel is accused of killing her and scheduled to go on trial this fall.
