(KWNO)-A Trempealeau man who is one of three people who stole 41 guns from a western Wisconsin firearms business will spend two years in prison. The United States Attorney’s Office says Nehemiah Sample was sentenced on Wednesday after pleading guilty last October. Authorities say in April of last year, Sample and two others broke into the store in Rockland and stole the guns. Sample’s truck would later be found in La Crosse with three of the stolen handguns in a bag in the backseat. The 27-year-old Sample was later apprehended in Arkansas, where he allegedly tried to sell guns out of his car. During his arrest, law enforcement found seven guns in and around Sample’s vehicle, all stolen from the Rockland gun store.
