(KWMN)- The Cotter boys basketball team looked to avenge their early season loss to La Crescent last night from the John Nett Rec Center.
The matchup was back and forth through the first 18 minutes. Cotter and La Crescent traded lead after lead before La Crescent found an early edge, taking a 28-24 lead into the break.
Early in the second half, La Crescent began to pull away, gaining as much of a lead as 11. Cotter didn’t go away quietly, as they managed to bring the game back within score with five minutes to play. But the Cotter offense faltered late and couldn’t take advantage of the opportunities La Crescent gave them. The Lancers went on to win 58-48.
Carson Roeder led the way for the Ramblers with 15 points, and Luke Gardner scored nine, but was held to only one bucket in the second half.
The Ramblers will hope to bounce back on Saturday, as they take on Eagle Ridge Academy.
