(KWNO)-Winona Police are looking for a driver who fled from officers at speeds possibly up to 80 miles per hour. Officers saw a car on Thursday night near 7th Street and Hamilton Street with expired registration and attempted to pull the vehicle over. The driver sped away on Hamilton Street and then east on Sarnia Street at speeds estimated to 60 to 80 miles per hour, according to a police spokesperson. The pursuing officer ended the chase after eight blocks in the interest of public safety. The car was later found in the 100 block of Bluffview Drive with two flat tires. The police spokesperson says they have identified the registered owner of the car but are not sure at this time who was driving the vehicle during the incident.
