(KWNO)-A man who allegedly broke into a home in Trempealeau County was shot by the homeowner. The shooting happened early Monday morning in Blair.
A woman contacted police reporting an intruder in her home and stated her husband had shot the person. When officers arrived, they found a man shot inside of the house’s garage. The injured man was taken to a La Crosse hospital for treament. According to police the door to the home was kicked in when they arrived, and they suspect the man who was shot may have broken into an empty house in the same neighborhood. No names have been released at this time.
