(KWNO)-A special commission met Wednesday expecting to certify the new Minnesota state flag and seal and a Winona company is embracing the new flag. Sanborn Canoe has released a canoe paddle with the new flag design painted on it.
“We’re extremely proud to be a Made-in-Minnesota company, and anything we can do to showcase that state pride is a win for us,” said Sanborn Canoe Sales Manager Adam Carlson.
According to Sanborn Canoe, the paddles are handcrafted in Winona using wood grown and milled in southeastern Minnesota and each paddle is hand painted.
