Man trying to fix vehicle crushed to death

(KWNO)-An Altura man is dead after being crushed under his vehicle. The Winona County Sheriff’s Office says Gary Dondlinger’s pickup truck apparently had a mechanical issue on County Road 31 near Trout Drive on Sunday evening. Investigators speculate Dondlinger pulled over on the side of the road and went under the truck to try to fix it. The vehicle then started to roll and crushed Dondlinger under the wheel. A witness came upon the scene and called law enforcement. The investigation is ongoing.
