(KWNO)-A man who investigators say fatally shot a police officer in northern Iowa was arrested late Wednesday night near Sleepy Eye in southern Minnesota. 43-year-old Kyle Ricke will be extradited to Iowa and is charged with first-degree murder.

Ricke allegedly shot Algona Police officer Kevin Cram after Cram tried to arrest him on a warrant. Cram later died from his wounds. The 33-year-old police officer was a 10-year veteran of Iowa law enforcement.
